Until recent years, the only available resale real estate property in North Cyprus was property that needed to be remodeled or renovated. People who did not want to renovate but wanted to purchase a cheaper house were forced to go over their budget and purchase a renovated home or build a home of their own. Times have changed dramatically since then. Many people are selling their former homes so that they can acquire more income and afford even larger houses. The need for housing has increased with the tourist boom in the past few years. People who want to sell their homes are having no trouble selling it in an appropriate amount of time.

The properties in North Cyprus are new to the property market. Around 6 years ago was when property was allowed to be sold. Because of this new increase in property, the resale market is even newer. Instead of seeing a unwelcoming home that is plain and has no touch of life, the intended purchaser can see what the home would look like lived in. They can see the finished product of the home. Many real estate companies believe that the intended purchaser is able to imagine themselves in the home if there is already normal home accessories present.
